Marvette Royals of Dothan, AL, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan. Funeral services for Marvette Royals will be Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from Cloverdale Baptist Church, 806 Dexter St, Dothan, AL, with Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Burial with Military Honors by the U.S. Army, Ft. Rucker, AL. will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Hwy. 431, Headland, AL, with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Marvette was born January 24, 1929 in Henry County, Alabama, son of the late Ennis and Maude Lisenby Royals. He worked with Smurf Stone Corporation in the timber and forestry industry, he also served our country in the Alabama National Guard for a number of years. Survivors are his wife: Nell Skeen Royals, son and wife: Tim and Brenda Royals, all of Dothan; grandchildren: Christy and Matthew Anderson, Topeka, KS; Bryan Royals, Dothan; and several cousins.
