Mr. Cecil Edward “Tip” Lane of Troy passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at his residence. He was 74. Services for Tip Lane will be at 11:00 am, Monday, March 26, 20l2 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Minister George Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Goshen with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am. 1 hr. prior to the service. He was born Tuesday, December 28, 1937 in Troy, AL. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his step father, H.B. Calhoun and his mother, Mildred Virginia Horn Lane. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Rhonda Lane (Benny) Bagwell and Paula Lane (Rickey) Sullivan, brother; Jerry Calhoun, sister: Penny Nielsen, 7 grandchildren and spouse: Kelsey Sullivan (David) Toledo, Dalton Simmons, Kathryn Sullivan, Josie Sullivan, Emily Bagwell, Daniel Bagwell and Jacey Bagwell, several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Horn, Ray Horn, Bobby Catrett, Thomas Catrett, Robert Jones and Mickey Sullivan Memorial may be made to the Hillcrest Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 146 Goshen, AL.
