Obituary for Leon Napper

Leon Napper of Brundidge, AL. Haw Hill Community, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at his residence. He was 93. Funeral services for Leon Napper will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church with Minister Shirlie Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Haw Hill Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Mr. Napper will be at his residence from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, prior to the visitation at 1:00 p.m.at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church. Mr. Napper was born Monday, February 10, 1919 in Coffee County, AL, to the late Tommy Napper and Arite Boutwell Napper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Irma Napper in 1999, a daughter, Irma Nell Johnson, brother, Buck Napper, 2 sisters, Annie B. Keal and Onvie Lee. He is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Edd (Ruth L.) Napper and James (Evelyn) Napper all of Brundidge, AL; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Virma Nell Parrish (C. H.) Riley, Jack, AL; and Willie Nell (Joe Bob) Flowers, Troy, AL; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Serving as active pallbearers will be Brandon Napper, Tracy Napper, B.J. Flowers, Jeffrey Boutwell, Randall Brunson and Logan Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Flowers, Eddie Parrish, Terry Napper, Lance Berry and James Parrish.
