Obituary for Julia Edna Weber (Johnston)

Julia Edna Johnston Weber of Brundidge passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her residence. She was 86. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at Dorcas Baptist Church with Rev. W.O. Sanders and Brother Billy W. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge. The family will also receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church one hour prior to the service. She was born February 19, 1928 in Coffee County, AL daughter of the late Eugene Emmett Smith and Zuilime Sanders Smith. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Roger Johnston and Lyle Weber, daughter, Ann J. Meadows, granddaughter, Brittany Leigh Vandenberg, great granddaughter, Darby Kate Roberts, brothers, James P. Smith, Thomas J. Smith, Emmett E. Smith, sisters, Elizabeth Garrett, Erma J. Smith and a brother-in-law, Larry Smith. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Wade and Dorothy Johnston, Cottondale, AL; daughter: Patsy Johnston Harpke, Brundidge, AL; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Lasley) Meadows, State College, PA; Michael Meadows, Birmingham, AL; Jared Vandenberg, Los Angeles, CA; Justin (Karen) Johnston and their daughter, Hayden Johnston, Pinson, AL; and Brittney (Jason) Roberts and their son, Will Roberts, Tuscaloosa, AL; and a brother, Billy G. Smith, Goshen, AL.
