Mr. Joe Bob Flowers of the Wilkinstown Community in Coffee County, AL. passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at his residence. He was 72. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ray Stinson officiating. Burial will follow in Haw Hill Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. He was born December 10, 1941 in Coffee County, AL, to the late Joe Flowers and Emma Lee Bryant Flowers. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Waylon Flowers, Maloy Flowers and Edgar Flowers. He is survived by his wife: Willie Nell Flowers, Wilkinstown; children: Glenn Flowers, Wilkinstown; Marie Boutwell (Scottie) Jack; Sheryl Brunson (Terry), Elba; Brenda Faye Flowers, Wilkinstown; Donna Kaye Hartley, New Hope; Charlotte Rena Berry (Mike), Jack; Christal Lynn Helms (Tye) and Bobby Flowers, all of Wilkinstown; brother: Lorenzo Flowers, Phenix City, AL; 2 sisters: Gladys McLendon (Earl Gene), Valley, AL; and Lessie Mae Wilson (Louie), Goshen; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Brunson, Terry Brunson, Jeffrey Boutwell, Scottie Boutwell, Shane Hartley and Bobby Penington. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Berry and Logan Berry.
