Obituary for Winnie Tillery

Mrs. Winnie Tillery of Troy, AL. passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Troy Health and Rehab. She was 91. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service. Mrs. Tillery was born November 19, 1922 in Pike County, AL to the late Doc Mulkey and Essie Parrish Mulkey. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tilburn Tillery, 3 sons, Ray Tillery, Acie Tillery and Wilmer Tillery. She is survived by her children: Thomas Tillery (Virginia), Troy; Dewey Tillery, Brundidge; Linda King (James), Andalusia, AL; Shirley Kelly (Wayne), Bluff Springs, AL; Charlie Tillery (Angie), Banks; and Herman Tillery, Troy; sister: Jean Davis, Gulf Shores, AL; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and 3 special nieces: Betty Hudley, Frankie Nelson and Martha Crawley.
