Mrs. Ruby Thompson passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL She was 82. Graveside services for Mrs. Ruby J. Thompson will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Eulogy given by Sammy Dunn. Burial will follow with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Mrs. Thompson was born November 30, 1932 in Troy, AL to the late Otha Johnson and Lola Justice Johnson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, A.W. Thompson, Jr., a daughter, June Kelley, a brother, Joe Tex Johnson and a sister, Sarah Coggins. She is survived by her son: Timothy F. Thompson, Opelika; daughter: Lee Callaway (Page), Opelika; grandchildren: Taylor Thompson, Luke Callaway, Amy Adams, Shae Bryan, Kim Kelley and Chris Gilmore; several great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Oliver, Robbie Barnes, Anelia Berry, Janice Dunn and Celia Green.
