Mr. William A. "Dick" Adcock, Sr. of Elba passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp. He was 81. Funeral services for Mr. Adcock will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel in Elba with Rev. Phillip Adcock and Rev. Loyd Hodge officiating. Visitation for Mr. Adcock will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hayes Funeral Home in Elba. The family will also receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Taylor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. He was born March 23, 1935 in Coffee County, AL to the late L. Victor Adcock and Mattie Pearl Marler Adcock. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Adcock. He is survived by a son, William A. "Dickey" Adcock, Jr. Elba, AL; daughter, Sharon Lavallee (Rocky), Harlen, GA; Wanda Anderson (Craig), N. Augusta, S.C; a brothers, Larry Adcock (Cheryl), and James Adcock (Joy), all of Elba; mother of his sons, Dickey and Anthony, Ann O'Neal, New Brockton; mother of his daughters, Sharon and Wanda, Bea Hutton,Lincolnton, GA; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Taylor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
