Ronald Gary "Ron" Childs of New Brockton, AL passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 63. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Wilburn Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the residence of Jan Resteivo, 621 B North Main Street, Enterprise, AL. The family will also receive friends at the church Friday from 11:30 until service time. Ron was born September 29, 1953 in Columbus, GA to the late C. S. Childs and Helen Christeen McWaters Bolling. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughters, Glenda Childs and Telietha Childs, grandchild, Aubrey Arrington, brothers, Roy Childs, Mac Childs, Allen Childs and Jon Bolling, and a sister Debra Wilson. He is survived by his children, Albert Sheets (Gail), Theone Gunnell (Chris), Perry Arrington (Heather), Linda Childs and Timothy Childs (Haley); beloved grandchildren, Nick Moore, Terra Sheets, Jessica Sheets, Devin Childs, Doniva Tetreault, Chantel Tetreault, Gabriel Strickland, Abigayle Strickland, Sebastian Gunnell, Christian Gunnell, Billy Strickland, Carolynn Strickland, Ben Sheets, Chase Arrington and Victoria Arrington; and his sisters, Gloria Childs, Jan Resteivo and Kaven Callahan.
