Mrs. Julia Adams Golden of Banks passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Troy Regional Medical Center, Troy, AL. She was 77. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. J. C. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 1;00 p.m. until service time. She was born September 7, 1940 in Troy, AL to the late Joe Wiley Adams and Lillie Mae Gibson Adams. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband William Finley "Bill" Golden; brother-in-law: Ray Golden and sister-in-law: Leila Golden. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Golden (Angie), Ebenezer Community; daughters, Linda Golden, Banks, Annette Williams (Jamey), Clayton, AL and Anita Brown (Brian), Pike Road, AL; grandchildren, Trae Brown, Pike Road, Alex Golden (Katti), Shady Grove (Coffee County, AL), Charles Golden, Banks, Brittany Golden, Saco, John Williams and Ben Williams both of Clayton, Amanda Jordan, Troy and Randy Jordan, Ebenezer Community; great grandchildren, Carly Golden and Laysee Golden, Shady Grove (Coffee County, AL), Rylee McWaters, Saco, Lilly Burger and Saylor Shaffer both of Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be John Williams, Alex Golden, Douglas Golden, Michael Best, Keith Williams, Todd Messick, Charlie Golden and Eric Pruitt.
