Obituary for Norris F Senn

Mr. Norris F. Senn, a resident of Clio, AL, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 21, 2018 after an extended illness. He was 84. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Charles Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time. He was born August 26, 1933 to the late Henry Senn and Beanie Stone Senn. Mr. Senn served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he served as a heavy equipment operator. When he returned home to the Brundidge area he began farming and did do until his retirement. His pastime consisted of fishing, playing dominoes and spending time with his many friends at the Clio Senior Center. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Daniels" Senn, sons, Randy and David Daniels, brother and sister-in-law, Willie Joe and Bertie Senn, and his sisters, Nell Hughes and Learie Mae Green. He is survived by one daughter, Linda Burns (Mike), Arab, AL; 2 sisters, Carolyn Broadwater (Charlie), Dothan, and Maurine Widgeon, Ashford, AL; daughters-in-law, Renee Daniels, Dothan, AL and Jean Daniels, Arab, AL; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in his memory. The family wants to thank the staff at Westside Terrace and Rehab First for their excellent care during the time of his stay.
