Mr. Arthur G. Peacock, Jr. of Troy, AL. passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at Luverne Health and Rehab in Luverne, AL. He was 95. Funeral services for Mr. Peacock will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with Eulogy by Michael Thonen and Rev. Bo Weed officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Peacock was born January 10, 1927 in Pike County, AL. to the late Arthur G. Peacock and Stella Elizabeth Windham Peacock. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Emma Sue Johnson Peacock, Troy; son, Ray Mitchell Peacock, Troy; grandson, Jarrod Arthur Peacock, Troy; brothers, James Peacock, Pugh Peacock, and Gafford Peacock, all of Troy, and Gillis Peacock, Montgomery; sisters, Grace Dunn and Florence Floyd, both of Troy. He is survived by his son, Bobby Joe Peacock, Milledgeville, GA; daughter, Mary Jean Thonen (Philip). Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Bobby Randall Peacock and David Ray Peacock, both of Milledgeville, GA, Michael Heath Thonen, Troy, Heather Marie Pennington (Mickey), Goldsboro, PA, and Cheryl Baker (Charles), Tarpon Springs, FL; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Strickland and Cooper Gibbens; sisters, Sybil Coston, Valdosta, GA. and Jeannie Griggs, Opp, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Peacock, Philip Thonen, Jimmy Floyd, Lex Floyd, Paul Floyd and Ronald Floyd.
