Mrs. Ruby Nell Barr Dansby of Brundidge, AL passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Troy Health and Rehab. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Ed Shirley and Rev. Kenneth "Buck" Hudgens officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge, AL with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. She was born March 17, 1933 in Barbour County, AL to the late William Thomas Barr and Emma Augusta Barbaree Barr. She was a phenomenal cook, caretaker and always ready to help people. We would like to thank the nursing home staff and Hospice Advantage for their wonderful care. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husbands, Dan Dansby and James L. Dunn, the father of her children, an infant son, James Larry Dunn and 8 siblings. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws; Jimmy Dunn (Julie), Headland and Ricky Dunn (Becky), Ozark; daughters and sons-in-law; Diane Beck (Russell) Deatsville, and Debbie Howell (Heath), Montgomery, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces, nephews and many many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons, Jason Dunn, Taylor Portwood, Wesley Phillips, Dustin Beck, Jon Beck, Brian Baker and Adam Fenn.
