It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Jim Jenkins who died at age 55, June 8, 2016 in Troy, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his Father, Cmdr. Philip Jenkins, US Navy Chaplain (ret) and by his sister Joyce Marie Williams. Left to celebrate his memory are his wife, Robin Vose Jenkins, his mother, Hazel Long Jenkins, his sister June Carol Holden, his brother “Chip” Jenkins, and his sister Donna Thomas. He also leaves his step-mother, Joan Jenkins and 4 stepsisters. Plus he had many in-laws and cousins and grand-nieces and nephews. Jim was graduated from high school in Colonial Heights, VA, he then graduated from James Madison University in Virginia and he had begun his studies for his Master Degree at VCU. His love was the technical side of theater and he shared his talents at many different theaters, playhouses and Cruise Lines before going to Bridgewater College, in Virginia, as a professor and then to Troy University in Troy, Alabama to share his knowledge of technical theater.
Plans for a memorial service are being made. More information will follow.
