Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth "Liz" Leverett of Glenwood, AL passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her daughters residence in Lafayette, AL She was 86. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 17, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Brother Joseph Guy officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 10 am until service time. Burial will follow in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Mrs. Leverett was born July 30, 1930 in Coffee County to the late Louie Coe Pope and Ruby Ester Marshall Pope. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Henry Gaston Leverett. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bob) Spatz, Lafayette, AL; Phala (Derald) Gulledge, Glenwood, AL; and Leisa (Craig) Whetstine, Elba, AL; grandchildren, Lisa (Matthew) Agler, Pearland, TX; Michael (Kym) Scavone, Phenix City, AL; Jayson Scavone, Pearland, TX; Sherry (Jamie) Bannin, Elba, AL; Brett (Rudy) Scarbrough, Glenwood, AL; Tommy Joe (Jenn) Gulledge, Kingsland, GA; Tina (Chris) Zingre, Elba, AL; Summer Spatz, Brazoria County, TX; Amy Spatz, Texas City, TX; and Molly Phala-Elizabeth Shephard, Elba, AL; great grandchildren, Brooke Scavone, Sean Agler, Chase Hardy, Nicholas Agler, Jaden Tuscana, Dallas Tuscana, Brandon Scavone, Haley Buss, Melanie Buss, Mary Gulledge, Caleb Gulledge, Dayne Bannin, Riley Bannin, Alyssa Scarbrough, Jacob Gulledge, Kilee Gulledge, Tanner Zingre, Dawson Scarbrough, and Brayden Gulledge; brothers, Eldon (Cheri) Pope, Marvin (Dianne) Pope, Terry Pope, and Ralph (Janet) Pope.
