Condolence: I played music with Mike in thec"Slaves" in 70. We went our separate ways but I spoke of his greatness often. So sorry. Admired this man.

Condolence From: Rick Stephens
Condolence: To Mike's family, I send deepest sympathies and am personally shocked and saddened. I grew up with Mike in Childersburg and we were roommates during my last year at UA, here in Tuscaloosa. We both made music back in the day and I still have a vision of Mike moving along the stage and belting out a song in his unique way. I actually still have an 45 rpm record he made with a band during that time. I saw his passing in the Tuscaloosa News today and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence From: Rick Sellers
Condolence: Emily, So sorry to hear about Mike. We had a great time going up at Momie and Popie's house. He taught me how to play baseball. My Dad did not know how to do curve and fastballs. Mike did. He used to play in a band at our high school dances. I used to brag that Mike was my cousin. One girl got his autograph. A great guy that will be missed. - Rick Sellers
