Thomas L Gower, age 79, of Troy died July 22, 2019 at his home. Tom was born in West Virginia and spent most of his adult life in Troy and retired from Discount Tire. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his step son, Donald Knight and his four legged companion, Butch. He is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty Carlisle, Byron Jones, Ronnie and Betty Jones and Wayne and Janice Brock. Tom enjoyed life and was a very humble man who never complained. He dearly loved all his extended family at the Nutrition Center. Tom enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with them and his good friend, Thomas Dunn. A private memorial and celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Services are being handled by Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
