Obituary for Jonah Larita Mitchell
Jonah Larita Mitchell, age 62, passed away July 29, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Edge Mitchell and Mary Lou Carr Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter, Hunter Calloway Peed Lolley; and sons, Courtland Peed and Steadman Peed.
Growing up in Troy, Larita had many friends including her classmates at Pike Liberal Arts School. She attended Troy University, where she joined Phi Mu Sorority. Larita is remembered by her friends as a beautiful person, who would light up a room with her smile. Larita will be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service for Larita will be held at the Park Memorial Methodist Church, Sunday, September 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m withSkeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.
