Timothy Derek Childs of Troy, AL passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident. He was 46. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Springhill Emmanuel Church with Pastor Wilburn Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 at Springhill Emmanuel Church. He was born May 22, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Derek Mac Childs and Evelyn Margaret Trudeau Childs. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Constance and Christine McWaters Childs, and a brother, Gary Dean Childs.
He is survived by his brothers: Chris Childs (Dawn Ann), Ariton, AL, Jack Childs (Trish), Jack, AL, and Kevin Watkins, (Kate), MI; sister, Christine Childs, Troy, step brother, James Rutledge (Marissa), MS, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and fiancé, Ruby Senn, Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Childs, Jack Childs, Ace Childs, Abe Childs, Derek Childs, Timothy Childs, Morris Childs and Albert Sheets. Honorary pallbearers will be Sabastian Gunnery, Christian Gunnery, and Michael Childs.
