Lillian Frances Thomas, 89, of Goshen, AL, died on August 13, 2019, at SAAD Inpatient Hospice in Mobile, AL, after a short-term illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Alexander Thomas and Mrs. Eunice Spurlock Thomas of Goshen, AL, her two brothers, Herbert Carroll Thomas, Prattville, AL and Paul Dean Thomas, Montgomery, AL, and her nephew, Kenneth Thomas, Goshen, AL. Survivors include three nieces: Dana Everage (Tommy), Mila Thomas, and Rebecca Thomas; niece-in-law, Vicki Thomas, one great-nephew, Christopher Thomas (Eleanor), and two great-nieces, Shannon Powers (Todd) and Sara Thomas, three great-great nephews and one great-great niece. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019, at Elam Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Goshen, AL, with Pastor Mike Thomas and Pastor Curtis Faulkner officiating per Miss Lillian’s request. Burial will follow with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. She will be remembered as an extremely independent minded woman with strong opinions on many subjects, but she is best remembered for providing long-term care to her mother - who lived to 103 years of age.
