Mrs. Dawn Irene Pope of Elba, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at her residence. She was 44. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. John Brannon officiating and Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Friday at the chapel of Skeen Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Pope was born February 11, 1975, in Panama to the late Michael Duffy and Lilian Duffy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Duffy. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Douglas Pope, of Elba; three sons: Peyton Stokes, Colton Stokes, and Austin Filiault all of Zion Chapel; four step-sons: Kaiden Pope of Prattville, Caleb Pope, Levi Pope, and Reid Pope all of Elba; sister-in-law, Shannon Stephens of Elba; several friends, and family.
