Mrs. Oler Lee Miles a resident of Brundidge, AL passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at her residence. She was 96. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Kilpatrick and Pastor Louis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson Memorial Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Miles was born April 1, 1924 in Crenshaw County, AL to the late Newton Joshua Walker and Alice Emily Josephine Parrish Walker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David Franklin Miles, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila Ann Miles, Elba, Sharon Leona Childs (Huey), Goshen, and Mary Jane Poe (Bobby), Brundidge; grandchildren: Bruce Lee Griffin, Troy, Devin Joshua Poe, Pensacola, FL, Nathan West Poe, Pensacola, Fl, Alexander Payton Childs, Goshen, and Amy Victoria Childs (Joseph), Goshen; great grandchild, Isabell Victoria Russell; sibling, Mary Sorrells, Georgiana, AL; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Dretta Allen. Serving as pallbearers will be Devin Joshua Poe, Nathan West Poe, Freddie Turner, Sgt. Bob Hill, Hughie Eugene Childs and Alexander Payton Childs. The Miles family would like to say thank you to Dr. Todd Pearlstein and Encompass Hospice. The love, compassion and care for our mother will always be remembered.
