Obituary for Patsy Ann Hussey

Patsy Ann Hussey a resident of Troy, AL passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 as a result of an automobile accident. She was 64. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Pastor Curtis Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Patsy was born February 11, 1956 in Troy, AL to the late Murry Jordan, Jr. "Pat" and Judith Ann Stoner Jordan. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Paul Freeman, and sisters, Donna Jean Parker and Sherry Michelle Jordan. Patsy was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Maw Maw. She had a compassionate soul that would always give to others before she would take for herself. Patsy Ann Hussey loved to love people and animals. She stayed in her garden constantly and would always pick up strays and unwanted pets. Her hands were rarely still and she shared her love of animals with her children and grandchildren. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible , Ephesians 4:32- "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She is survived by her husband, Charles Hussey, Troy; daughter, April Freeman (Chris), Troy; son, Daniel Hussey (Kim), Troy; five grandchildren: Courtney Freeman, Gage Freeman (Hayden), Haisten Freeman, Teigen Hussey and Kaiden Hussey, all of Troy; one great grandchild, Carter Baldwin, Troy; one brother, James Jordan (Kathleen), Troy; four sisters, Kathy Littles (Doby), Sally Simmons (Buck), Wanda Tillery (Tim) and Jean Zellers, all of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Sikes, Joey Jones, Luke Freeman, DJ Williams, Keyshaun Pierson and Jeremy Rushing. The family wishes to send a special thanks to the first responders and emergency personnel at Troy Regional Medical Center.
