Mrs. Flossie Davenport of Troy, AL passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Troy Regional Medical Center. She was 77. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Lamar Chapman, Rev. Ronald Earles and Rev. Earl Oakes officiating. Burial will follow with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Friday at the cemetery, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Flossie was born May 14, 1943 in Skipperville, AL to the late James Thelmer Whatley and Melba Searcy Whatley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Whatley, Harry Whatley and Herbert Whatley and a sister, Enid Benton. She is survived by her son, William Davenport (Donna), Troy; grandsons, Wes Davenport (Brittany) and Josh Davenport (Brittney) all of Troy; great grandchildren, Blaine and Maisey Davenport, both of Troy; two brothers, Edward Whatley (Joyce) and Felix Whatley (Shirley) all of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Louise Green, Jack, AL. and Jeannete Benton (Vernon), Montgomery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dane Sanderlin, Chris Brooks, Jonathan Turner, Greg Turner, Brent Daniels and Daniel Hussey.
