Obituary for Georgia Kilpatrick

Mrs. Georgia Kilpatrick of Troy, AL, died Sunday, April 4, 2021, at her home. She was 84 years old. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at God's Way Baptist Church, Elba Highway, Troy, AL, with Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Skeen Funeral Home, 707 George Wallace Dr., Troy, AL. The family will also receive friends Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Please observe social distancing and wear a mask.

Mrs. Kilpatrick was born Feb. 18, 1937, in Kelso, Washington. She was the daughter of the late Nick K. and Lillie Frolick Gamalis. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a member of God's Way Baptist Church where she loved baking and cooking for the church. She worked at Hardee's and Walmart for a number of years. A volunteer at local thrift stores, she was a caregiver to her sister-in-law, Maeola Griffin.

Survivors include children, Loretta Pate (Ralph), Red Oak, TX, Larry Kilpatrick, Troy, AL, and Marie Pate (Nathan), Gordo, AL; grandchildren, Stoney Pate (Allison), Red Oak, TX., Emily Pate, Red Oak, TX., Adriana Pate, Troy, AL, Aaron Kilpatrick (Amanda), Justin Kilpatrick, Nickie Adamson (Kimble), Bo Campbell (Kasie), all of Troy and Angela Kilpatrick, South Lake, TX; several great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Becky Kilpatrick, Troy; 1 niece: Yvonne Bacon, Washington. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Kilpatrick, and her husband of 68 years, Gary Alto Kilpatrick, who died Feb. 16, 2021.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Pate, Stoney Pate, Nathan Pate, Aaron Kilpatrick, Bo Campbell and Jay Hughes.
