Mr. Fred Montgomery Buchanan of Goshen, AL. passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at Merry Wood Lodge in Elmore, AL. He was 77. Funeral services for Mr. Buchanan will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Wilburn Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. He was born in Dade City, FL. to the late Sunny Jackson Buchanan and Pauline Ethel Joiner Buchanan. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. Fred also worked inmany managerial position in the retail industry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Rose Buchanan. He is survived by his sons, Michael Buchanan (Deborah), Auburn, AL, Sean Buchanan (Susan), Springhill, AL, and Jason Buchanan (Shannon), Ansley, Community; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Gene Buchanan, Auburndale, FL; and a brother-in-law, Richard Knepprath, West Allis, WI
