Jack “Chris” McLendon a resident of Troy, Alabama, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy. He was 47. Funeral services Mr. Jack “Chris” McLendon will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Chris was born February 12, 1975, in Troy, Alabama. He was employed with K & W Plastics for many years. Chris loved his kids, his grandbabies, and his Boo with his entire heart. Chris’ charisma and generosity made an everlasting impression to those who knew him best. He went above and beyond to help anyone he could. His smile and bright blue eyes would light up a room. He was preceded in death by his mom, Regina Smith; pops, Don Smith; granddaughter, Gabriella; brother, Benjamin; Aunt Loretta, and his mother-in-law, Patsy Hussey. He is survived by his wife, April Freeman McLendon; four sons: Christopher Parrish (Kayla), C.J. Johnson, Gage Freeman (Hayden), and Haisten Freeman; two daughters, Jessica Berry and Courtney Freeman; grandkids: Mason, Zander, Gannon, Harleigh, Onnaleigh Carter, Bristol, and Evie; siblings, Bo (Heather), Luke, Crystal, Darwin (Sherry), Jessi (P-Nut), Amanda Jo, and Talon (Roxy); stepmom, Bonnie Baker; father-in-law, Charles Hussey; brother-in-law, Daniel Hussey (Kim); several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews, and cousins.
