Mr. Robert Lewis Cummings a resident of Troy, AL passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2022 at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, AL. He was 88. Graveside services for Mr. Robert Lewis Cummings will be held at 10:00 a.m. (EST) Friday, September 16, 2022, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central Cemetery in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of local arrangements. He was born July 23, 1934 in Akron, OH. to the late James Cummings and Geneva Mae Drayer Cummings. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Cummings and Carlos Burchett. He was the life of the party and very personable. He loved life, always the class clown and never met a stranger. He would help anyone and he loved being a sheriff!!! He is survived by Kitty Schell and the mother of his children, Helen Cummings; children, Robert Cummings, Jr. (Denise), Kathryn Heimer (Richard), Vicky Sloan (Terry), Ricky Cummings (Linda); 6 grandkid; 15 great grandkids.
