Mrs. Laura Joan McRae a resident of Troy, AL. passed away, Friday, December 2, 2022 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. She was 80. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Mossy Grove Cemetery. Interment of ashes will follow with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McRae was born December 15, 1941 in Pike County, AL to the late Clayton Whitfield Garrett and Beria Lucille Harden Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jack McRae, Jr., bother, Wayne Garrett, and sisters, Maunette Scroggins and Nina Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Tillery (Buddy), Troy; grandchildren, Laura Nicole Lake (Cecil), Springhill, James Clifton Tillery, Banks, Amanda Cecile Cole (Vince), Union Springs, and Taylor Nicole Moore, Springhill; great grandchildren, Tanner H. Nevin, Clayton Tuff Cole, Jesse M. Cole, and Haisley L. Bryan; sister, Jean Haisten; nieces and nephews, Lydon Scroggins, Baria Hattaway, Buffy Green, and Terry Garrett; sister-in-law, Audrey (Tom) Missildine.
