Dewey Joe “Jody”. Petty, Jr. a resident of Brundidge passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at his residence holding hands with the love of his life, Melissa Arnold.. He was 50. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy will be assisting the Petty family with a simple cremation. Jody was born August 14, 1972 in Brantley, AL to the late Dewey Joe Petty, Sr. and Euvete Hudson Cochran Petty. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Shena M. Cochran, son, Dakota Seth Petty and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Arnold, Brundidge; step sons, Bobby Arnold, Thomas Arnold, and Ethan Arnold, all of Troy, B.J. Freeman, Brundidge; step daughter, Jennifer Arnold, Brundidge; brothers, Billy Cochran, Shelby, N.C and Darrell D. Petty (Anita) ; sister, Tinna L.
