Obituary for Billy L Bundy

Mr. Billy L. Bundy of Banks, AL, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Troy Health and Rehab. He was 82. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Skeen Funeral Home with Brother Larry Senn and Brother Jason Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Banks Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at Skeen Funeral Home. He was born October 26, 1940, in Pike County, AL, to the late Bobbie Relent Bundy and Ruby Jane Allen Bundy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Belah Mae Mehaffey Bundy, step father, Wesley Mobley, sister, Vonnie Maulden (Ray); brothers, Dacobie Bundy and Jimmy Bundy as well. Mr. Bundy loves the Lord. His passion for the Lord began with a baptism in Whitewater Creek. He was a wood worker more specifically a cabinet maker for 32 years; however, he really found his niche where his love for the Lord, family, and music could all be filled as the leader of a local family bluegrass group, Monticello Bluegrass. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Garrett, Banks, AL; sons: Billy Wayne Bundy, Johnny Bundy (Charlene), Micheal Bundy (Melissa), all of Banks, Robert Bundy (Angie Merritt), Ozark, AL; a brother, Bobby Bundy, Springhill; grandchildren: Matthew Garrett (Ali), Amanda May (Tommy), Jonathan Debeaux (Beth), Jessica Rhodes, Jonathan Bundy, Karlie Mancilla (Blas), Whitney Bundy, Amelia Bundy, Joseph Bundy and Jayden Bundy; great grandchildren: Will May, Jacob May, Peyton May, Wyatt Garney, Gracie Rhodes, AJ Rhodes and Ruby Mancilla; a sister-in-law, Mary Roten (Charles); brothers-in-law, Junior Mehaffey (Frances), and A.D. Mehaffey (Betty); numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Bundy, Micheal Bundy, Billy Wayne Bundy, Robert Bundy, Jonathan Debeaux, Joseph Bundy and Matthew Garrett.
