Dewey Floyd a resident of Troy, AL passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was 61. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Floyd officiating.. Burial will follow with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6 pm. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Skeen Funeral Home. Dewey was preceded in death by his father, Denzil Floyd, brother, David Floyd, and infant brother, Carl Floyd. He is survived by his mother, Dorris Floyd, Troy; brother, Jerry Floyd (Cathy), Auburn; sister, Susan Belyeu (Randall), Troy; sister-in-law, Janice Floyd; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who adored Uncle Dewey. Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Floyd, Jacob Floyd, Daniel Floyd, Nathan Floyd, Christopher Belyeu, and Michael Hood.
