Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Green of Troy, AL passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL. She was 54. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Springhill Emmanuel Church with Pastor Wilburn Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Starling-Davenport Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. She was born June 2, 1960 in Troy, AL to the late Lawson Whitehead and Louise Hartley. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timmy Green, grandson, Blake Green, brothers, Pete Whitehead, Henry Whitehead and Ricky Whitehead, sisters, Bonnie Whitehead, Nita Faye Dickey, Gloria Tillery, Burnell Knotts, Linda Sue Whitehead and Mary Scarbrough. She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Walter Green, Troy; granddaughters: Shelby Green and Hailey Green, Goshen; sisters: Ruby Rushing, Troy; Marjorie Golden, Troy; Lillian Johnson, Brundidge; and Sharon Kirkland (Wilburn), Troy; brothers: Johnny Ray Whitehead, Troy; Billy Wayne Whitehead, Troy; and Terry Glen Whitehead, Phenix City; mother-in-law: Frances Davenport, Troy; sisters-in-law: Jill Green, Millbrook; and Vanessa Ellis, (Jimmy), Brundidge; special friends: Shirley Hunt, Troy and Sherry McLean and her son, Cody Presley, Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Roberts, Bobby Tillery, Chris Edwards, Cody Presley, Jason Hunt, Jason Lewis, A.J. McLean, Tommy Parker and Steve Whitehead.
