Mr. Robert J McKenzie of Brundidge, AL passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy. He was 76. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m Friday, September 16, 2016 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Leon Fortune and Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Mr. McKenzie will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. He was born June 26, 1940 in Pike County, AL to the late Andrew McKenzie and Annie Simmons McKenzie. He proudly served our country in the US Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a very special friend and companion, Bonnie Campbell, 5 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his nephew, Ephrem Hussey, Troy, Douglas Hussey, Minden LA, Clarence Hussey, Haughton LA, and Mike Hussey, Sibley, LA; nieces, Mary Lee Richie and Christine Beauford, both of Bossier City, LA, and Gloria Jean McKenzie, Pike County, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Campbell, Jeremy Hughes, Benji Campbell, John Kilpatrick, Michael Campbell and Tony Senn. Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Campbell, Jerry Thompkins, and Clem Whitehead.
