Obituary for Fannie Reeves Sanders

Fannie Reeves Sanders of Troy, AL passed away Friday, February 17, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, February 20, 2017 at Sandfield Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Faulkner officiating. The family will receive friends Monday February 20, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow at Sandfield Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Fannie was born February 18, 1929 and has been a lifelong resident of Pike County. At the age of 16 she started working for Southern Bell Telephone Company where she worked for 22 years. She retired from childcare at the Gingerbread House Daycare in Troy AL where she touched the lives of many children. She is survived by her son, Stephen Sanders, Troy; granddaughter Holly (Brandon) Adams, Troy; grandson John Paul Sanders, Troy; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Taylor, Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Sanders Sr. and son, John (Johnny) F Sanders Jr. A special thanks to Tommy and Brenda Peacock and June Headrick.
